Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 16, 2026

This policy explains which cookies and similar browser storage CosmoHub uses, why, and how you can manage them.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in your browser. Your browser's local storage areas (localStorage and sessionStorage) similarly let a website keep some information on your device.

Cookies we use

CosmoHub uses only the cookies needed for the platform to work. We do not use cookies for advertising or for tracking you across websites, and we do not use an analytics tool for visitor statistics.

  • cosmohub.token

    Purpose:
Keeps you signed in and proves to the server that you are logged in. JavaScript cannot read it.
    Duration:
    7 days
  • cosmohub.session

    Purpose:
Lets the interface know whether you are signed in; contains no personal information.
    Duration:
    7 days
  • cosmohub.dil

    Purpose:
Remembers the interface language you chose.
    Duration:
    1 year

These cookies are needed to provide the service you ask for, so they do not depend on your explicit consent. The session cookies are deleted when you sign out.

Other information kept in your browser

  • Unsaved form content: so that what you type in the program, event and idea creation forms is not lost when the page closes (localStorage).
  • Assistant conversation: so that the last message sent to the AI assistant is not lost if the page reloads (sessionStorage; deleted when the tab closes).
  • Verification status: to remember that you sent a profile verification request (localStorage).
  • Idea likes: a randomly generated identifier so that a public idea is not liked more than once from the same browser (localStorage); it is not linked to your identity.

Third-party content

When YouTube, Vimeo or Loom videos added to startup pages are shown, these providers may set their own cookies and receive your IP address; those cookies are subject to the providers' own policies. Page fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which passes your IP address to Google, but Google Fonts does not set cookies.

Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings. If you block the session cookies you will not be able to sign in; if you delete the language cookie, your language preference is set again on your next visit.

Changes

If we start using a new cookie or change the purpose of an existing one, we update this page; the date of the update is shown at the top. For more information see the Privacy Policy and the Personal Data Protection Notice.
